Make building software as easy as describing it.
That's our mission. For most of computing's history, turning an idea into working software meant months of setup, syntax, and tooling. We think it should take a sentence.
Why we built Factorly
We've all had the same experience: a clear idea for an app, and a frustrating gap between that idea and anything you can actually click. Choosing a framework. Wiring up a toolchain. Fighting config files before you've written a single line of the thing you wanted to build. The friction is the point at which most ideas quietly die.
At the same time, AI models got genuinely good at writing code — but chat windows that hand you snippets aren't the answer. Pasting code you can't run, debugging by copy-paste, with no project, no preview, and no way to ship — that's a worse workflow, not a better one.
So we built the thing we wanted: a place where you describe what you want, and an AI agent actually builds it — creating files, running commands, fixing its own mistakes — while your app runs live next to the chat. A real workspace with an editor, a terminal, git history, and one-click deploys underneath. Powerful when you want to dive into the code; effortless when you don't.
Factorly is that product. The name is a nod to the idea of a software factory — a place where building real things is the default, not the exception.
What we believe
A few principles that shape every decision we make about the product.
Your code is yours
Everything you build is a real git repository from the first commit — exportable to GitHub anytime. No black boxes, no lock-in. If you ever want to leave, you take everything with you.
Show, don't hide
Every file the agent reads, every command it runs, every line it writes is streamed to you as it happens. You're never guessing what changed or why.
Ship fast
From a sentence to a running app in a single conversation — and from there to a live URL in one click. We obsess over the time between an idea and seeing it work.
AI that's honest about mistakes
Models get things wrong. Ours checks its own work by running the code and reading the output, fixes what broke, and tells you when it does — backed by checkpoints so you can always roll back.
Build almost anything
People use Factorly for everything from a quick weekend project to the first version of a real product. If you can describe it, the agent can take a real run at building it — across 20+ frameworks and stacks.
